Yellow peach belongs to the Rosaceae peach plant, the fruit is
nearly round or oval, the two halves of the fruit are
well-proportioned, the surface of the fruit is golden in color,
there is no red near the core, the flesh is yellow, hard solute,
the flavor is sweet, slightly sour, the juice is medium, and the
aroma is strong ; sticky core, oval core, rough core surface, the
fruit harvest period is mainly from August 5 to 15, and the fruit
growth period is about 125 days.
Yellow peaches were imported from India to Persia; they are widely
cultivated in North China, Central China, and Southwest China, and
they like sandy soil with sufficient sunlight, good drainage, and
strong permeability. Generally, grafted seedling cultivation or
high-density cultivation is adopted.
Yellow peaches are rich in antioxidants, dietary fiber, pectin,
selenium, zinc, iron, multivitamins and other nutrients. Eating
yellow peaches often can relieve constipation, lower blood sugar,
lower blood lipids, resist free radicals, and remove dark spots ,
anti-aging, improve immunity and so on. Because yellow peaches are
not resistant to storage, they are suitable for processing into
cans for export. The processing cost of frozen yellow peaches is
relatively low, and they are widely used in foreign markets. They
can be reprocessed into canned food, peach juice, and peach jam
according to market demand, and can also be directly used in
desserts or freezing points, so they are very popular among foreign
businessmen. Yaozhuang Town is the largest production base of fresh
yellow peaches in China, and was named "the hometown of yellow
peaches in Zhejiang Province" by the Forestry Department of
Zhejiang Province.
